Former Student Turns Successful Entrepreneur

A graduate from the Diploma in Electronics, Neeraj , set up his own company in June 2002, during his final year at Temasek Engineering School. Today, the 23 year-old Managing Director of Comwerks Pte Ltd, sees an annual turnover of over half a million dollars, and expects to hit the magical million soon.

Providing software solutions for turnkey projects, web design and content management, as well as hardware and telecommunication services, Neeraj’s company has undertaken major projects for the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA), Singapore Expo, and MINDEF, including the production of the video "Visit Singapore — for East-West Executive Travellers” which has been broadcast at major international tourism conventions, as well as the islandwide implementation of Secure Email to 85 government organisations, carried out in collaboration with the IDA and Netrust Pte Ltd.

Neeraj, who recently began operations in India, is also currently negotiating with several local hotels to provide an international call routing service for guests, and will soon be launching an iTV Setup Box that will allow users to surf the web and carry out e-commerce transactions via the TV.

Asked for the secret of his success, the dynamic entrepreneur, who had been inspired by Creative Technology’s Sim Wong Hoo, replied: “The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.”
