Study Engineering Courses in the Polytechnics
The School of Engineering (SEG) in Nanyang Polytechnic
(NYP) offers a unique blend of theoretical and practical training for any one
aspiring to be an engineer. Here, students are constantly kept abreast and
trained in the latest emerging technologies by a supportive, friendly and
experienced staff using the latest technological and computing facilities.
The School of Engineering offers students with a wide
range of Engineering diploma courses to match their interest. Engineering
students at Ngee Ann Polytechnic also take up courses in non-core fields such
as Communication, Science & Technology, Media and the Arts,
Entrepreneurship and Life Skills, grooming them to be more than an engineer -
versatile, confident and independent individuals who will excel in their areas
of work.
The School of
Engineering at Republic Polytechnic believes in grounding our students in the
fundamentals of Engineering and equipping them with core and specialized skills
required in the Engineering profession. Graduates of our School will therefore
be highly competent professionals who will go on to make significant
contributions to their field. At the same time, the broad-based curricula
offered by our programmes will impart important skills in communication,
problem solving and entrepreneurship, as well as train our students to think
independently, creatively and innovatively.

The School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering of
the Singapore Polytechnic is one of the largest engineering schools in
Singapore, offering courses at the diploma, specialist, and advanced diploma
levels. Close to 4,300 students are enrolled in its courses. Its 180-strong
academic faculty comprises both local and expatriate staff with good
credentials. Many are professional engineers who have years of industrial and
teaching experience.
Temasek
Engineering School (then under the wing of the School of Science and
Technology) came into existence in 1990. Its main office was at the Stirling
Road campus and had then moved to its permanent campus in Tampines in September
1995. The School of Engineering's student population was 2240 for the 1995/6
academic session. By 2002/03, the School had a student population of 6000.
The School now offers ten full-time diploma courses:
Diploma in Biomedical Informatics and Engineering, Diploma in Business Process
& Systems Engineering, Diploma in Computer Engineering, Diploma in
Electronics, Diploma in Info-Communications, Diploma in Integrated Facility
Design and Management, Diploma in Intelligent Building Technology, Diploma in
Mechatronics, Diploma in Microelectronics, and Diploma in Telecommunications.
