Engineer Spotlight

Nian Hua graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 1994, went on to pursue his first degree in Mechanical Engineering and emerged the top graduate of the Engineering Faculty, University of Manchester, UK. He also attended the Senior Executive Education Program at Harvard University and obtained the Graduate Diploma in Defence Technology from NUS. He is now in charge of a state-of-art shipyard in Singapore which has completed the construction of 5 frigates. The shipyard is now busy with the construction of Ro-Ro vessels (which carries the fuselage of the Airbus planes), diving support vessels and passenger vessels. He  is also involved in business development projects, scoursing the world for the best deals in ship building, searching and evaluating new opportunities to drive ST Marine to the next phase of growth.

By virtue of his training as an engineer, Nian Hua has developed a keen sense to seize business opportunities and make sound decisions.

A poly grad, he went on to get his Masters degree in Engineering from Stanford University, he now scours the world for the best deals.
